The voice out front of this powerful group is Mace Smith. Mace grew up in southern Kentucky and started singing at an early age. Born into this world under the stadium bleachers at a Waylon Jennings concert. Once Mace was old enough to talk, he began reciting Hank Jr., Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and other country greats. Years later while getting his education, he was writing word for word transcriptions of Garth Brooks and Dwight Yoakam songs when essays were required by his teachers.
All jokes aside, Mace has one of the strongest country music voices for many miles around. He brings a whole new level of energy to the stage. Blacktop Rodeo is very lucky to have Mace taking center stage every show. He loves to entertain and has performed at several nationally recognized venues like Renfro Valley, Austin City Saloon, and The Grand Ole Opry! We are honored to call Mace our friend and lead singer. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mace Smith!
